Mandy Shaw has been passionately cultivating hearty and resilient honey bee stock for nearly a decade, dedicating her efforts to ensuring the health and vitality of her colonies. This is the very first time she is opening up her apiary to the public for nuc colony sales, offering an opportunity for fellow beekeepers to acquire Portland area raised bee colonies.
These nucleus colonies are composed of her overwintered stock, which has been raised in the Portland area. Each nuc comes with 5 frames of bees, which will include an optimal mix of brood, pollen, honey, and a vibrant, healthy queen.
Estimated availability & pickup is May 1st. This ensures time for our 2025 queens to be mated and laying. If weather allows for early queen mating, the availability date will be updated.
